Police continue search for high-risk Victoria man missing since Monday morning

Victoria Police are renewing their plea for help as they search for high-risk missing man Albert Bedard.

The 74-year-old man was reported missing after he was last seen in Esquimalt at 7 a.m. on Monday, August 7.

He is known to frequent Esquimalt Plaza and Saxe Point Park, and is also known to travel to the mainland where he has ties in the Fraser Valley.

Police describe Bedard as a Caucasian man with short grey hair and hazel eyes. He stands 5’5 and weighs approximately 150 lbs and often wears jeans and a t-shirt.

According to VicPD, officers and Bedard’s care providers are concerned about his well being due to medical and mental health concerns.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911.
