New Jetz service from Air Canada offers business-class experience on commercial routes

Air Canada is offering customers a chance to see how “the other half” lives with new flights on its Business Class “Jetz” charter aircraft.

The Airbus A319 planes are being redeployed along popular winter routes for travel during the Christmas season, from December 12, 2020 to January 6, 2021.

Each aircraft is equipped with 58 seats, which is less than half the normal number of seats on this type of aircraft.

“Customers booking on a Jetz flight will enjoy such amenities as its all-Business Class seating configuration, upgraded meal service, and shorter boarding and deplaning times,” said Mark Galardo, Vice President of Network Planning and Alliances at Air Canada.

“These features, combined with Jetz’s other attributes, create a private-jet-like experience.”

Air Canada says their Jetz aircraft are ordinarily used to service customers such as professional sports teams, touring musical acts, and corporate clients.

They say that the COVID-19 pandemic’s effect on these industries has left the aircraft available for commercial use.

Customers can now book Jetz flights for travel between December 12 and January 6, with a second schedule for March Break flights currently under development.

Air Canada Jetz will operate non-stop between the following city pairs:

  • Toronto to: Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Fort Myers, Barbados, Cancun, Kelowna and Vancouver.
  • Vancouver to: Phoenix, Palm Springs and Puerto Vallarta.
  • Montreal to: Fort Lauderdale and Barbados.
