A suspect wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for two counts of manslaughter was allegedly spotted in the Comox Valley recently, according to the RCMP.
Jordan Jay Ward is the third suspect being sought by police in connection to the Calgary murders of Mohamed Khalid Shaikh and Abas Ahmed Ibrahim.
Shaikh and Ibrahim were found dead in a vehicle in the Calgary neighbourhood of Sandstone on the evening of August 28 after police were called to the area for a report of gunshots.
A third victim was also found inside the vehicle and was taken to hospital to be treated for gunshot wounds.
Ward is suspected of being one of three people involved in the murders. Comox Valley RCMP say he was allegedly seen on a rural logging road, possibly wearing army green hunting clothes and riding a dark coloured bicycle.
Police have arrested two Calgary residents in connection with the murders.
20-year-old Dennis Wong was arrested on August 31 and is charged with two counts of accessory after the fact to murder and one count of party to the offence of an attempted murder.
23-year-old Gerald David Benn was arrested on September 6 and is charged with two counts of second degree murder and one count of attempted murder.
Calgary Police were initially seeking Ward as a witness with critical information about the murders, but on September 24 they announced he was now being sought as a suspect.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Jordan Jay Ward is asked to contact the Comox Valley RCMP at 250-338-1321.
The RCMP say that anyone who sees Ward should not approach him and should call 911 immediately.
