BC Transit offers free service to Armed Forces on Remembrance Day

Share

BC Transit announced on Wednesday that they will be offering free transit service in the Victoria region to members of the Canadian Armed Forces on Remembrance Day.

While most events and ceremonies on November 11 are planned to be virtual in the Greater Victoria area, BC Transit says they intend to honour service members regardless.

All schedules routes and handyDART services will be free on November 11 for riders in uniform, active and retired service members, cadets, and those with Army, Navy, or Air Force Association cards.

BC Transit is also allowing drivers the option to stop buses at 11 a.m. on November 11 to observe a traditional minute of silence, provided it is safe to do so.
