7 ways to keep your holiday shopping safe, merry and bright this year

Share

It’s no secret that holiday shopping may look a little bit different this year for many, but one local shopping centre looks to bring a little more sparkle and cheer into our lives this season, keeping shoppers safe while doing so.

From beautifully decorated trees, to finding the perfect gift, the Bay Centre has a list of activities to give you all of those warm and fuzzy holiday comforts this Christmas time, all with important safety measures in place.

Without further ado, here are 7 ways to keep your holiday shopping safe, merry and bright this year:

1. Snap a holiday pic in the Bay Centre’s living wreath

Important safety measures have been put in place so that you can make new holiday traditions and mark the season in the Bay Centre’s giant living wreath. The entire display is real!

2. Take in over 50 decorated trees in support of BC Children’s Hospital Foundation

Holiday means tradition – with safety measures in place, don’t miss one of the most well established traditions in Victoria! For a quieter visit, the Bay Centre recommends visiting after 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday nights when the trees are shining their best. Don’t forget to to text to vote for your favourite with a donation to BC Children’s Hospital – you could win a $500 Bay Centre gift card just for voting!

3. Finding a gift that will spread holiday cheer

As part of their commitment to the Festival of Trees in support of BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, the Bay Centre has partnered with two amazing women, local illustrator Sarah Rouget creator of Boo to You Cards, and local entrepreneur Columbia Promotions to create the cutest holiday mug.

100% of proceeds will go directly to BC Children’s Hospital – yes, you read that right! You can wrap your hands around one of these limited edition ceramic mugs at the Market Collective by Shi Studio on level 2 of the Bay Centre.

4. Get some extra holiday comfort — on the Bay Centre!

Get a BONUS Joy Gift tin filled with Purdys Chocolatiers’ best-selling chocolates valued at $25 when you purchase a $100 or more in Bay Centre gift cards. One per customer; while quantities last.

5. Enjoy free parking

During your visit, take extra comfort in free holiday parking with your first 3-hours free on weekends and free parking after 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday evenings in the Bay Centre’s parkade.

6. Spread kindness at the Bay Centre’s social-worthy wall
