Island Health has declared that a COVID-19 outbreak at a Victoria long term care facility is now over.
In a statement shared Friday, the health authority announced that there are no longer any cases of novel coronavirus associated with Veterans Memorial Lodge long-term care home in Victoria.
An outbreak was declared at that facility after one staff member tested positive for COVID-19 on November 29.
No other cases in residents or staff were identified after follow-up testing.
Now that the outbreak is over, adult day program and Veterans Health Centre programs and services will resume on December 14.
Island Health says essential visits and social visits will be allowed again starting Saturday, December 12.
