2020 has meant that many small, local businesses are suffering, with even some on the verge of extinction.
Which is exactly why a group of business owners on Fort Street have joined forces with Shop on Fort, a community-run business directory designed to showcase Fort Street businesses in Downtown Victoria.
The directory invites business owners and staff to submit content, promotions and other exciting goings-on in the city.
Shop on Fort looks to highlight all of the wonderful downtown businesses working their hardest to still find creative ways to serve the public, and of course, the important safety protocols they’re making to keep their staff, clients, and customers feeling safe and confident.
Support local with Winter Wander
In response to the above, Shop on Fort has invited local businesses to join together for a one-day initiative celebrating all that Fort Street has to offer, dubbing it ‘Winter Wander’.
On Saturday, December 5th, businesses and shops on Fort Street will bring the festive cheer with special offerings and customer appreciation.
Shoppers can expect discounts and giveaways, as well as festive decor, drinks, and music in select stores.
Winter Wander is free for businesses to participate in and shoppers to attend, and in-depth plans for safety, physical distancing, and sanitization will be in place throughout all locations. All stores will have capacity limits, and all visitors will be asked to wear masks while on Fort Street.
