Horgan will be joining health minister Adrian Dix, PHO Dr. Bonnie Henry, and Vancouver Coastal Health’s vice-president for pandemic response and director of regional emergency operations centre, Dr. Ross Brown to announce the details of the province’s vaccine rollout plan at 3 p.m. on December 9.
On Monday, Henry announced that BC is set to receive the first doses of the Pfizer vaccine next week.
To begin with, the initial doses are ear-marked for seniors and long-term care residents who are most at-risk of serious illness.
Specialized containers containing dry ice and other mechanisms needed to safely store the vaccine have arrived in the province as of Tuesday, December 8.
