An investigation into a stolen bicycle turned led to an arrest and the seizure of a handgun, cash, and drugs by VicPD on Monday.
The arrest took place shortly after 1:30 a.m., in the parking lot of a multi-unit temporary housing facility in the 3000-block of Blanshard Street.
Officers stopped a man in possession of a stolen bicycle and searched him after they placed him under arrest.
The search produced drugs believed to be methamphetamine, fentanyl and cocaine. Officers also seized over $5,000 in cash and a loaded .22 calibre handgun.
The man was taken to cells to await court. He faces several firearms and drug trafficking-related charges as well as charges for possession of stolen property.
VicPD are still investigating.
