We all know breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but what if you could support local AND a good cause while you’re diving into your favourite dish in the morning?
This month, we’ve partnered with BC’s dairy farmers to highlight participating restaurants across BC who will be featuring a special dish to celebrate breakfast.
When you buy that featured dish, you’re not only supporting the restaurant, BC’s dairy farmers will donate a meal to the Breakfast Club of Canada.
And better yet, we’re giving away TEN $50 gift cards to well-loved breakfast spot Spoon’s Diner, all while helping to support Breakfast Club of Canada in the process – contest details are below!
Restaurants across the province continue to feature delicious and nourishing breakfast dishes, helping you wake up to the best of the best; and by supporting takeout in BC, you’re supporting our food industry, our BC farmers, our chefs, and our communities.
Though we often think of takeout as dinner only it can really be enjoyed at any time of the day – that’s including breakfast!
Without further ado, here are 6 restaurants participating in this province-wide breakfast initiative; just order the listed dishes, and a meal is going directly to the Breakfast Club of Canada:
Spoons specializes in homemade comfort food with a contemporary twist. Large portions, indulgence, and experimental creations are what you’ll find in their cozy diner atmosphere.
Their featured dish is Pina Colada Cheesecake French Toast; thick slices of coconut French toast, layered with tropical cheesecake filling, all topped with a Malibu rum and pineapple compote and drizzled with salted caramel.
Established in 2004, Floyd’s Diner is a Victoria landmark. They attribute their growth to our loyal customers, new and old. In addition to their satisfying portions, they strive to maintain a fun and friendly, family-oriented atmosphere for all to enjoy.
Floyd’s featured dishes include their Featured Benny (poached eggs, cold-smoked lox over arugula and cream cheese finished with homemade hollandaise and fried capers), as well as their signature ice cream floats and milkshakes!
Jam is an all-day breakfast and lunch cafe, inspired by recipes from the south, like their house made cornbread, buttermilk biscuits and fried chicken; they wanted to create a menu of comfort fare in a rustic-city atmosphere.
Jam’s featured dishes include their Cinnamon Bun Pancakes and Peppermint Lattes – the perfect pair to celebrate the holidays!
John’s Place Restaurant has served the Victoria community for over 30 years, and continues to be a staple downtown.
