Kindness goes viral: BC minister’s son receives note that warms hearts across social media

Share

One proud dad took to Twitter on Wednesday to share a heartwarming note his son received at school, and it quickly spread across social media.

Ravi Kahlon, cabinet minister and MLA for Delta North, was approached by his 10-year-old son on Wednesday evening when he told him he’d received a note from one of his fellow students at school that day.

The note apparently came from a new student at the school, who Kahlon’s son and a friend noticed was sitting alone at lunch, then joined.

“Sitting with me outside felt better than anything,” says the note to the minister’s son.

“Thank you so much. I would like to ask you if I could start joining you guys outside.”

“Proud dad moment today,” reads Kahlon’s tweet, which has garnered quite the bit of interest on the platform in the past couple days.

Since it’s been posted, the tweet has received over 450,000 likes, 34,000 retweets and 8,000 comments – and still climbing.

In a world that’s been deprived of a lot of the “good” news as of late, this one certainly gave us the warm and fuzzies we all needed.
