A positive case of COVID-19 has been detected at Chemainus Secondary School, leading to an advisory from Island Health.

The health authority says that the exposure occurred on January 4, 2021, affecting one individual in the school community.

Contact tracing has been completed and phone calls have been made to staff and students identified for self-isolation. Those who received a call will need to self-isolate for 14 days from when they were exposed.
