RCMP seek help from public to find man missing from Nanaimo (UPDATED)

The 42-year-old man who was the subject of a missing person search by Nanaimo RCMP has been safely found.

Nanaimo RCMP are asking the public for help to find a man who has been missing from the city since mid-December.

42-year-old Kale Nystrom was reported missing on December 14, 2020.

Investigators were told that Nystrom had been saying things and acting in a way that led people close to him to be extremely concerned for his safety and well-being.

He has no fixed address and has been known to find shelter in various parks, wooded areas and abandoned buildings throughout Nanaimo.

Nystrom is described as a white male, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds.

Nanaimo RCMP conducted patrols around local wooded and park areas and shelters, but have been unable to locate the missing man.
