Two people suspected of breaking into multiple Langford apartment buildings this month were been arrested by West Shore RCMP on Tuesday.

In a media release, West Shore RCMP said the investigation began on January 18th, when two separate apartment buildings near the 690 block of Hoylake Avenue were broken into.

Investigators examined video surveillance from both buildings and watched as the two suspects stole packages delivered to the mailroom at each location.

The thefts were then linked to a third break and enter and theft that took place on January 10th, at an apartment building located near the 2600-block of Peatt Road.

The suspects were known to police from prior interactions and are identified as a 29-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man.

According to RCMP, the male suspect was found to be in possession of narcotics suspected to be Fentanyl at the time of the arrest, and was breaching court-ordered conditions.

He was arrested for the additional offences of breaching a court order and possession of narcotics.

“The male suspect was held in custody and the female suspect was released on an Undertaking,” said Cst. Nancy Saggar West Shore RCMP media relations officer.
