It was a lucky weekend on Vancouver Island!
According to British Columbia Lottery Corporation, two tickets purchased on the island won big in Saturday’s lottery draws, including one ticket worth $2 million.
A BC/49 ticket purchased in Duncan won the top prize of $2.2 million dollars. Someone matched all six numbers.
The winning numbers are 16, 31, 32, 33, 44, 49. The bonus number is 11.
Additionally, a 6/49 ticket purchased in North Saanich matched five of the six numbers required, plus the bonus number, earning the ticket purchaser a whopping $107,352.20.
The numbers in Saturday’s 6/49 draw were 4, 8, 18, 24, 31 and 32. The bonus number is 40.
The $8.7 million jackpot was won by a single ticket purchased in Ontario.
