West Shore RCMP searching for driver involved in Colwood hit-and-run

The West Shore RCMP are investigating a hit-and-run in Colwood that left a woman with minor injuries.

On January 5th, at approximately 11:15 p.m., a woman was walking through the crosswalk on Wishart Road and Salton Drive when she was struck by a vehicle.

The driver did not stop and quickly drove up Salton Drive toward Stornoway Road. Police canvassed the area but were unable to locate the vehicle or driver.

The woman suffered minor injuries and was helped by a bystander.

“The suspect vehicle is described as being a small 4-door car possibly blue in colour. The vehicle licence plate is unknown,” said Cst. Nancy Saggar, West Shore RCMP Media Relations Officer.

“If you were the driver of this vehicle please do the right thing call us and identify yourself to police, we need to talk to you,” Saggar added.

Anyone with information on the suspect vehicle or driver is asked to call West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264 or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers online or by calling 1-800-222-8477.
