Parents of students at Stelly’s Secondary School on the Saanich Peninsula received notice of a positive case of COVID-19 on Friday.
According to the letter, which has been posted on social media by multiple parents, the potential exposure occurred on Monday, February 1st.
Island Health is completing contact tracing to identify any staff or students that need to self-isolate or monitor for symptoms.
“Receiving this letter does not mean you or your child has been exposed to COVID-19,” reads the notice.
As of this publication, there are 236 active cases remaining in the region, according to Island Health.
