Island Health has issued a warning of a possible COVID-19 exposure at a popular downtown pub that occurred just under two weeks ago.
The health authority says they are notifying anyone who attended the Bard and Banker at 1022 Government Street on January 23 between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Those who were at the pub on this date should monitor themselves closely for symptoms and self-isolate and seek testing if symptoms develop.
Contact tracing has already been completed and people identified as coming into close contact with the individual who tested positive for COVID-19 have been instructed to self-isolate.
Those who have not been contacted by public health officials should rest assured that they are not at a high risk of exposure.
No ongoing COVID-19 risk from the exposure at the Bard and Banker has been identified.
More information on public exposures is available online through Island Health’s website.
Anyone who is interested in booking a COVID-19 test can phone the call centre at 1-844-901-8442, 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily.
