While it’s supposed to be sunny throughout the week, temperatures are expected to drop below the freezing level along with sunshine.
Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for BC, including on Vancouver Island.
According to the weather agency, conditions will begin to change from mild temperatures to much colder conditions as a cold arctic air is currently pushing towards the area.
The cold air is forecast to set in to much of the province by Monday and remain for the week, the weather statement said.
So while it might be time to break out the shades, you should probably have some mittens on hand too.
