A video of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run has emerged as well as more information on the incident.

On March 24th, around 4:40 p.m., Saanich Police says a driver was reported to have struck an occupied parked vehicle in the 3100 block of Stevenson Place in Victoria.

The driver failed to remain on scene, struck two other parked vehicles, and fled the area in their heavily damaged BMW SUV.

The occupant of the parked vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Five minutes later, the vehicle was reported driving on the Pat Bay Highway in Saanich with one of the front wheels completely destroyed.

A third caller reported that the vehicle had come to a stop in the 500 block of Leaside Avenue, where officers attended and arrested the driver, who was allegedly impaired.

Saanich Police says the driver is facing criminal charges in both Saanich and Victoria including impaired operation of a motor vehicle, refusing to provide a breath sample, failing to remain at the scene of a collision, and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

The vehicle was also impounded for 90-days.
