Man remains missing one year after disappearance from Comox Valley

A man who went missing from Comox Valley remains unaccounted for over one year since his disappearance was first reported.

Comox Valley RCMP say that 45-year-old John Wesley Edwards (“Wes”) was last seen in Courtenay on March 20th, 2020.

He is described as 5’9 tall, weighs approximately 145 pounds with blonde/grey hair and blue eyes.

Last year, police reported it was unusual for him to go for a long period of time without contacting friends or family.

The disappearance of Wes is still being actively investigated said Cpl. Matt Holst of the Comox Valley RCMP Major Crime Unit.

“Anything you know, no matter how insignificant it might seem, could be the information that will lead to answers for his friends and family,” said Cpl. Matt Holst.

Anyone who sees John Wesley Edwards (“Wes”), or has information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Comox Valley RCMP at (250) 338-1321.
