We think it’s fair to say that take-out and delivery has most definitely been on the rise over the past year.
With fewer Victorians heading to restaurants to dine-in, the next best thing is to order from the comfort of your own couch from one of the many food delivery services that exist out there.
But one Victoria resident took their love of food delivery to the next level, reportedly ordering from SkipTheDishes a whopping 193 times so far this year, according to a spokesperson from the company.
That amounts to around 2 orders per day, once broken down.
On the other hand, some prefer a one-stop shop as opposed to multiple orders, as Victoria’s most expensive order clocked in at over $487 – that’s a lot of cheeseburgers!
When it comes to most popular items ordered so far this year, the people of Victoria seemed to lean more towards chicken-based dishes; chicken sandwiches came in first place, with butter chicken and cheeseburgers not far behind.
The three most popular eateries to order from in Victoria in 2021 so far are Bin 4 Burger Lounge (downtown location), Frankie’s Modern Diner, and Fountain Restaurant.
With restrictions slowly starting to ease up, there may be a rise in people starting to dine-in at restaurants once more, but honestly, we still think being able to order a chicken sandwich at 11 p.m. in our pajamas is pretty great – maybe just not 193 times.
