RCMP release photo of suspect in groping incident at Nanaimo mall

RCMP are currently investigating a report of a female being groped in the parking lot of a popular mall in Nanaimo.

The incident occurred on Saturday, February 20th at Woodgrove Centre.

The man, whose picture is seen above, is believed to be either Indigenous or Hispanic, 25 to 30 years-old, and approximately 5’7” to 5’10”.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing camo pants, dark shoes, a dark coloured hoodie with a The North Face logo on the front, and a camo-coloured face mask.

The victim was groped after she walked out of the mall to her vehicle.

Police say the woman was standing at her car door when the suspect came from behind and groped her.

She yelled at the man and watched as he walked off in the direction of the bus loop near Woodgrove Centre.
