VicPD are asking the public for help to find a suspect who stole a number of items from an adult store in downtown Victoria on April 1st.

Last Thursday, staff at a romance business in the 2000-block of Douglas Street reported that a theft had been committed.

Police were told that a man had entered the business just before 10 p.m. that evening while not wearing a mask.

When a staff member told the man that he needed to wear a mask, the man refused and grabbed a number of items. He then pushed the staff member aside and fled.

The staff member was not physically injured in the incident, while the thief made off with items valued at approximately five hundred dollars.

Surveillance cameras captured the incident on camera and VicPD have released still photos showing the suspect’s face.

He is described as a 30 to 40-year-old white male, standing 5 feet 9 inches tall. He wore a black baseball hat, black hooded sweater, blue t-shirt, and jeans.

VicPD are still investigating. Anyone with information is asked to contact the non-emergency line at (250) 995-7654, extension 1.

Anonymous reports can be made through Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
