3 Vancouver Island cideries to try this BC Cider Week

May 20th to 30th is BC Cider Week, which means it is the perfect time to get out to support local BC cidermakers and enjoy a crisp refreshing drink (or flight!).  

Although provincial restrictions are still in place, there are many cideries with patio options as well as curbside pick-up and delivery to enjoy the products at home. 

Without further ado, here are 3 Vancouver Island cideries to try this BC Cider Week, May 20th to 30th: 

Sea Cider Farm and Ciderhouse

Sea Cider Farm and Ciderhouse is well known for its award winning cider and beautiful location. During your visit, enjoy a cider flight or treats from the picnic pantry in the sunshine. At this time, only patio and deck seating are available and reservations are required.

Sea Cider products can be purchased at most liquor stores. Visit their website for information on curbside pickup and local delivery.

  • Hours: 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Sunday

Merridale Cidery & Distillery

Merridale Ciders are farm crafted in the Cowichan Valley. The company prides itself on keeping their products natural, using only apples and yeast to create their popular cider. The Ciders do not contain added sulphites or preservatives and are naturally gluten free. Visit the farm to enjoy a cider flight outdoors and enjoy a stroll through the orchard. 

You can purchase Merridale Cider products at most liquor stores or place a delivery order through their website.

  • Hours: 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Thursday 

  11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday to Sunday

Valley Cider Company

Valley Cider Company has made a commitment to discover an apple’s potential, through the process from field to bottle. Valley Ciders are fermented and handcrafted in individual batches, aged for a minimum of one year. Their products are available for curbside pick-up or online by delivery, shipping 12 and 24-pack cases for a flat rate across British Columbia.
