The West Coast Professional Women’s Society (WCPWS) is looking for linen donations for their “Laundry Hampers of Love” event, a donation drive to support the local YMCA’s Y Young Moms Program as the women and their children transition into their new homes.

The Y Young Moms Program (also known as the Kiwanis House Program) provides safe, stable, and affordable housing for 8 women parenting a child under the age of five for a year.

Along with a suite and community space, families also have access to support services such as skill training, parenting education, advocacy, and activity groups.

The WCPWS is asking for the community’s help in putting together laundry hampers of new linens for the young moms and their families as they transition out of the Y Young Mom’s Program.

Linens include bed sheets, hand towels, kitchen and dish clothes, blankets, pillows, pillowcases, and more.

To allow for easy drop-off and physical distancing precautions, contactless drop-off locations are being offered in James Bay, Esquimalt, and VGH/Eagle Creek.

Anyone interested in donating is asked to put together their hamper and complete this form.

Once the form has been submitted, you will be contacted with the specific address of the drop-off location you indicated.

The last day for donation drop-off will be June 15th.
