Man shot by police at Royal Jubilee Hospital in March re-arrested for returning with weapons

A man who was shot and arrested by VicPD at Royal Jubilee Hospital in March has been arrested for breaching court-ordered conditions.

On Friday, April 30th, officers were alerted by hospital staff that a man was in possession of weapons at the hospital.

Officers responded to the reports, located the man, and took him into custody.

The man was breaching conditions not to possess weapons.

There were no injuries.

The initial incident occurred in March with the same man.

Sources told Victoria Buzz that the man entered the hospital with a knife to his throat, threatening people on the morning of March 15th.

The man was shot by officers in an encounter after he attended the hospital armed with a knife. He received non-life-threatening injuries in that incident.
