VicPD searching for suspect in downtown bank robbery

VicPD are searching for a suspect who committed a brazen daylight bank robbery in the downtown core Tuesday.

Police were called to the TD bank in the 1000-block of Douglas Street shortly after 5:30 p.m. They were told that a suspect had passed a note to staff to commit the offence, and then fled.

No one was injured in the incident.

The suspect is described as a white male, standing approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall. At the time of the robbery he wore a black, hooded sweater with the hood up, black-rimmed glasses, and a blue medical mask.

He also wore brown pants, red shoes, and a black backpack with a white patterned print on it.

VicPD are still investigating and are asking the public for help to find this suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at (250) 995-7654 extension 1.
