The BC Ministry of Health reported 184 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, June 1st.
There have been 144,473 cases of COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
New cases were reported in these health regions:
Vancouver Coastal Health: 48
Fraser Health: 113
Island Health: 1
Interior Health: 19
Northern Health: 2
Resident outside Canada: 1
There are currently 2,800 active cases of COVID-19 in the province.
139,562 people who tested positive have recovered.
There are now a total of 254 people in hospital due to COVID-19, 80 of whom are in critical care — ICU or acute care units.
There were no reports of deaths from COVID-related causes, making the provincial death toll at 1,703.

There are currently 6 outbreaks in long-term care and assisted-living facilities and 2 outbreaks in acute-care facilities.

Island Health:
Island Health reported 59 active cases of COVID-19 in the Vancouver Island region.
Breakdown of cases on Vancouver Island:
- South Vancouver Island Active cases: 27 (-1)│Total Cases: 1,903
- Central Vancouver Island Active cases: 25 (-4) │ Total Cases: 2,442
- North Vancouver Island Active cases: 7 (0)│Total Cases: 689
7 people remain in hospital with 1 in ICU.
There have been no new deaths in the Island Health region.

Vaccinations
70.4% of all adults in B.C. and 67% of those 12 and older have now received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
To date, 3,303,334 (+53,174) doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in BC; 191,222 (+11,268) of which are second doses.
The BC government and NACI confirmed the safety of interchanging COVID-19 vaccines. Those who have received AstraZeneca may receive any of the mRNA vaccines (either Pfizer or Moderna), and mRNA vaccines may mix/match with each other.
