A section of Tattersall Drive in Saanich is closed due to an ongoing police incident.
In a media release, Saanich Police said Tattersall Drive from Saanich Road to Quadra Street is closed to all vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic.
According to online reports, the incident began around 7 a.m. Friday morning and there is a heavy police presence in the area.
While unconfirmed, one person who lives on the street said they saw police knocking at their neighbour’s window, and yelling “we know you’re inside, come to the window”.
There are also reports an armoured truck and K9 unit are on scene.
Traffic in the area is being detoured down side roads.
Police are asking people to avoid the area.
