The BC Ministry of Health reported 33 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, July 13th.
There have been 148,187 cases of COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
New cases were reported in these health regions:
- Vancouver Coastal Health: 5
- Fraser Health: 10
- Island Health: 3
- Interior Health: 13
- Northern Health: 1
- Resident outside Canada: 1
There are currently 639 active cases of COVID-19 in the province.
145,775 people who tested positive have recovered.
There are now a total of 66 people in hospital due to COVID-19, 14 of whom are in critical care — ICU or acute care units.
There were no reports of deaths from COVID-related causes, making the provincial death toll 1,760.
Outbreaks
There are currently 3 outbreaks in acute-care facilities: Laurel Place at Surrey Memorial Hospital, Eagle Ridge Hospital (Fraser Health), and Royal Inland Hospital (Interior Health).
Island Health:
Island Health reported 3 new cases of COVID-19 in the Vancouver Island region and 23 active cases.
Breakdown of cases on Vancouver Island:
- South Vancouver Island Active cases: 11 (+1)│Total Cases: 1986
- Central Vancouver Island Active cases: 8 (+0) │ Total Cases: 2491
- North Vancouver Island Active cases: 3 (+0) │Total Cases: 706
2 people remain in hospital with 1 in ICU.
There have been no new deaths in the Island Health region today, and a total of 41 deaths on Vancouver Island.
Vaccinations
79.1% of eligible people 12 and older in B.C. have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 46.0% have received their second dose.
In addition, 80.2% of all eligible adults in B.C. have received their first dose and 49.1% have received their second dose.
To date, 5,805,541 (+63,850) doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in BC; 2,125,179 (+56,729) of which are second doses.
