Island Health’s decision to move all July 30th COVID-19 immunization appointments from Eagle Ridge to the Victoria Conference Centre has been extended throughout the weekend.
After challenges faced at Eagle Ridge Arena during last month’s heat wave, Island Health has temporarily moved July 30th, 31st and August 1st bookings in preparation for this weekend’s high temperatures.
All appointments booked on July 30th, 31st and August 1st will now occur at the air-conditioned Victoria Conference Center. Appointment dates and times remain the same, only location will change.
Those with affected appointments will be contacted and notified of the change. If anyone receives a notification with incorrect information instructing them to proceed to Eagle Ridge they are told to go to the Victoria Conference Centre instead.
Conditions across Island Health sites are being monitored and further updates can be found on the Island Health COVID-19 Vaccine website.
