Oak Bay Police are reminding residents about the dangers of realistic-looking fake guns after the detachment responded to a call of two teens with a gun.
“We responded to call of two males on Foul Bay with a handgun,” said Oak Bay police chief Ray Bernoties on Twitter.
Officers responded to the area and located the suspect who turned out to be 14 and was in possession of a cap gun.
The teen was handed over to his parents.
“These situations can end tragically. Cap guns have orange tips and shouldn’t be carried publicly,” warned Bernoties.
