VicPD captures another snake slithering around downtown Victoria

Share

Another day, another case of the missing snake for VicPD.

Police say that they were notified of a large snake spotted at a multi-unit residential building in the 700-block of Vancouver Street shortly after 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6th.

According to VicPD, the large snake was found on a ground floor patio of the building.

Upon arrival at the scene of the slithering, officers worked with the person who reported the reptile to corral the nearly 4-foot-long snake into a large cardboard box.

The snake was then handed over to Victoria Animal Control Services where it remains, and they will continue to search its rightful owner.

Last year, VicPD was involved in several other snake-related incidents, including when a ball python went missing not once, but twice in downtown Victoria.

Unfortunately, those cases resulted in sadness, as the 4-foot python was located deceased by Saanich Police in September of last year.

Always remember to keep your scaled friends safe!
