As we embark on those last few dreamy weeks of summer, there’s one local hidden gem that you’re not going to want to miss out on before it’s gone.
Ocean View Estates is nestled within the Saanich Peninsula, and though they’re known for their corn maze, for the second year in a row, they’re offering a stunning Sunflower Festival on the very same property.

Open now, the sunny display of flowers greets you at the walk’s entrance, and the whole experience is a proverbial Instagram playground – for everything from those perfect photo ops to a floral enthusiast’s dream.
From now through the beginning of September, visitors can frolic through acres of flowers and pathways. You can expect to feast your eyes on several different kinds of sunflowers, with family-friendly props and dreamy backdrops along the way.
Tickets for the Sunflower Festival are on sale now, but grab them quick as spots are limited and the flowers don’t keep – according to the event’s organizer, the blooms will only last until the beginning of September!
In addition to navigating through the stunning fields, your ticket also counts towards experiencing the corn maze on site as well.
The Sunflower Festival is also offering extra activities on site this year – returning once more is their Sunflower Yoga, and new this year is their Paint Night on August 26th.
There will also be an ice cream truck making an appearance for cool treats during your visit, so come hungry!
Sunflower Yoga is an exclusive, intimate class taught within the field surrounded by the vibrant blooms, and tickets are sold separately, and can also be purchased online.
Paint Night will be run by a talented local artist, Leah Patterson – come see the sunflowers and leave with a work of art – all supplies will be provided to you! Paint Night tickets can be purchased separately here.
