VicPD are asking for the public’s help in locating a distinctive urn that was stolen at a residence in the Fairfield neighbourhood yesterday.

On Monday, August 2nd, officers received a report of a break and enter in a residence in the 900-block of Collinson Street.

The incident is believed to have occurred when the residence was unoccupied last week between Thursday, July 27th and Sunday August 1st.

The suspect or suspects stole a distinctive urn containing a family member’s remains, yet other valuables within the residence were left untouched.

The urn is described as a wooden box with Pacific Northwest Indigenous carvings and artistic designs on the exterior.
