A Victoria fisherman is $50,000 richer after winning a Keno draw last month.
In July, Philip Louie purchased his winning ticket from the BCLC kiosk at the Bay Centre.
Thanks to Louie saying ‘yes’ to the Keno bonus before the draw, his win was multiplied by five when he matched seven of the 20 numbers drawn.
This brought his total prize from $10,000 to a whopping $50,000.
When asked how he would celebrate his win, Louie said “I have an 18-foot boat and want to buy myself a new outboard motor.”
This win doesn’t mean Louie will be taking a break from the water, however, “I work on a fishing boat but I love spending my time on my own boat. I have 10 days off coming up and plan to…take it easy on my boat.”
