The annual Cheese and Meat Festival is back!
This year, the event will be taking over the historic Powerhouse building in downtown Victoria in an indoor/outdoor setting.
Get your taste buds ready for an assortment of the best local and international artisan eats and drinks.
With plenty of vendors in attendance, you’ll be sure to find that perfect pairing.
After skipping a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival is back and better than ever, with limits and precautions in place to keep everyone safe.
The festival will take place on October 16th, with three tasting sessions and seminars that will showcase the best of the local artisan and beverage food industry.
“The Cheese and Meat Festival showcases the best in food and beverage products you would find on a serving platter and what pairs with them. Not just cheese and meat,” says David Bain, the festival’s founder.
“Our goal is to introduce guests to new products that they have never tasted.”
Vendors include local favourites such as Bon Macaron, Habibis Mediterranean, Little Qualicum Cheese Works, and more.
There will also be beverage options including Sheringham Distillery, Stillhead Distillery, Junction Cider, and more.
This is not a complete list, as there will be over 40 vendors to sample from!
Due to the pandemic, this beloved event is only selling 50% of its capacity until the BC reopening plan hits stage four. This means this year’s festival tickets will be extremely limited.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 19th.
