You can enjoy a free outdoor screening of Pirates of the Caribbean in Sidney this weekend

This weekend, gather your best mates for a movie under the stars in Sidney. 

On Saturday, August 21st, Sidney BIA and Mary Winspear Centre will present their ‘Free Movie in the Park’ event, with a showing of Pirates of the Caribbean. 

The showing will take place at Iroquois Park with plenty of seating in the grass to enjoy the show. Guests are recommended to come early as space is first come first serve and to bring a blanket to sit on. 

This family-friendly event will feature cult classic Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl, starring Johnny Depp.

Lawn chairs are permitted, however, they will be asked to sit at the back to ensure they do not block other moviegoer’s views. 

Starting at 7 p.m., attendees will be able to enter the park and get settled. The screening will begin at 8 p.m. 

The free, weather permitting event will also have food available by Star Cinema Concession. 

COVID-19 guidelines and precautions will be in place, and viewers are reminded that there is no alcohol or smoking permitted in Iroquois Park.
