Camosun set to celebrate their anniversary with a food fair starting this week

Share

Wet those appetites, Victoria!

As part of the college’s 50th anniversary year the first-ever Camosun Food Affair will take place this week from September 16th to the 23rd

The Camosun Food Affair will feature graduates from Camosun’s Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts programs at select restaurants.

It is intended to be both a celebration of the fine local cuisine and a celebration of an industry that’s been so hard hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The fair has partnered with over 40 partners from the local food, service, and hospitality communities.

Diners will have the choice between their local fare taken in or taken-out at participating establishments found here.

If you’re dining in, remember to provide proof of vaccination.

“For decades, the local hospitality industry has provided a space for learning and growth for students and graduates of the Hospitality Management program,” says Camosun Hospitality Management Chair Carl Everitt.

“These opportunities have supported successful careers for leaders and managers within the local industry. The Camosun Food Affair is a fine example of how the hospitality industry in the South Island and Camosun are collaborating to celebrate the success of local, sustainable partnerships.”
