Boil water advisory issued for residents in Mount Matheson area of East Sooke

Share

A boil water advisory has been issued for the area near the top of Mount Matheson in East Sooke on Tuesday.

The Capital Regional District (CRD), in consultation with Island Health, has said that residents in the impacted area should boil their household tap water until further notice due to high turbidity originating from the surface water source, Wilfred Reservoir.

The CRD said the boil water advisory will be in effect until flushing and water samples indicate the water quality no longer poses a risk to public health.

Island Health will give them an all clear notice, at which time impacted customers will be notified.
