Following the recent news that Starbucks has closed nearly 200 locations across Canada, it comes as a bit of a surprise that it’s been announced there’s a brand new Starbucks Café location coming to Victoria.
The newest addition to the city’s Starbucks will be located in the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Suites at 777 Douglas Street.
The 2,100 square foot open concept floor plan, which will seat 104 customers, will be perfect for having a quiet coffee alone or meeting with groups to visit, study or conduct business.
The DoubleTree Victoria Starbucks is slated to open November 1st.
Over the past eighteen months, we’ve seen several Starbucks Coffee shops close their doors across Victoria.
Closures include locations at Government and Fisgard Street in Chinatown, Quadra and Yates Street, Cadboro Bay Village and Tuscany Village.
These cafés closed as part of the company’s ‘right-sizing’ efforts during the pandemic.
