Early Monday morning, Victoria Firefighters reported to the scene of an apartment fire in James Bay.
The fire, which broke out just before 9 a.m. this morning, affected at least two suites of the top floor of the Village Green apartments.
Flames and thick smoke could be seen emerging from both sides of the building.
Victoria fire crews battled an early morning blaze on Monday at Village Green in James Bay which appears to have affected at least two suites on the top floor of the apartment building.
At this time, there’s no report on any injuries.

Witnesses reported being able to see the smoke from Simcoe Street. The smoke was also said to have drifted towards McDonald Park field with the heavy winds.
It was reported that at least one person was treated by paramedics at the scene. However, there is no confirmation on injuries at this time.
Although the fire has been extinguished, Menzies Street remains closed to all traffic.
