

The BC Ministry of Health reported 1,370 new cases of COVID-19 for a three-day period on Monday, November 1st.
There have been 206,284 cases of COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
Day-to-Day Breakdown:
- Friday-Saturday: 568
- Saturday-Sunday: 470
- Sunday-Monday: 332
New cases were reported in these health regions:
- Vancouver Coastal Health: 124
- Fraser Health: 603
- Island Health: 218
- Interior Health: 222
- Northern Health: 203
There are currently 4,668 active cases of COVID-19 in the province.
199,107 people who tested positive have recovered.
There are now a total of 436 people in hospital due to COVID-19, 140 of whom are in critical care — ICU or acute care units.
25 new people have died from COVID-related causes, making the provincial death toll at 2,181.
Data by Vaccination Status:
From October 15th to the 28th, they accounted for 73.5% of hospitalizations.

Not vaccinated: 2,354 (58.6%)
Partially vaccinated: 240 (6.0%)
Fully vaccinated: 1,424 (35.4%)
- Past two weeks cases hospitalized (Oct. 15-28) – Total 468

Partially vaccinated: 28 (6.0%)
Fully vaccinated: 124 (26.5%)
Outbreaks
There have been six new health-care facility outbreaks at Cascade Gardens, The Cedars, Hallmark on the Lake (Fraser Health), Brocklehurst Gemstone Care Centre, Sun Pointe Village (Interior Health) and Chartwell Malaspina Care Residence (Island Health), for a total of 39 active outbreaks.
Island Health:
Island Health reported 82 new cases of COVID-19 in the Vancouver Island region and 581 active cases.
Breakdown of cases on Vancouver Island:
- South Vancouver Island Active cases: 131 │Total Cases: 4459
- Central Vancouver Island Active cases: 386 │ Total Cases: 5047
- North Vancouver Island Active cases: 64 │Total Cases: 1334
58 people remain in hospital with 26 in ICU.
There were no new deaths reported in the Island Health region today, and a total of 91 deaths on Vancouver Island.
Vaccinations
90.0% of all eligible adults in B.C. and 85.3% of those 12 and older have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
In addition, 90.4% of all eligible adults in B.C. and 85.9% of those 12 and older have received their second dose.
