By 2023, the worldwide construction industry is predicted to employ more than 220 million people and 7 percent of the total global employment, growing to a $10.5 trillion industry.
In a recent study, Workwear Guru compared average salaries, cost of living and incident rate to determine the best place in the world for construction workers.
Canada ranked fifth in this list, coming in just behind the United States in fourth place.
Canada’s construction workers earn an average salary of $55,927 per year, the third highest salary of all countries in the study.
According to the study, construction workers in Canada benefit from an affordable cost of living, much more affordable than in Switzerland, Singapore, Denmark, and other countries on the list.
Switzerland came in first on the list, with their construction workers earning an average of $79,159 per year.
