Nanaimo RCMP are trying to return a series of very old family photos to their rightful owner after being turned in to the detachment in late October.

On October 27th, the photos were turned into the RCMP detachment after being found on the railway tracks that cross Fitzwilliam Street.

According to the RCMP, some of the photos date back as far as 1915.

“We were quite fascinated with them as each tells a story from a distinctly different time and place,” said Constable Gary O’Brien of the Nanaimo RCMP.
