One man was sent to hospital Thursday afternoon after he was involved in a helicopter crash in Nanoose Bay.
In a press release on Thursday, Nanaimo RCMP advised the public they were on site of a helicopter crash 26 kilometers north of Nanaimo.
The crash occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. in the forested area of Nanoose Bay.
BC Paramedics arrived on scene to transport one adult male to a nearby hospital.
The man was the sole occupant in the helicopter at the time of the crash.
His injuries, as well as their severity, are unknown at this time.
