One person was transported to hospital in critical condition after a single vehicle crash in North Saanich last night.

Around 11 p.m. on Thursday, November 11th, BC Emergency Health Services responded to a call of a single vehicle crash at the McTavish Road onramp from the Pat Bay Highway. 

The Toyota Prius which was travelling northbound on the Pat Bay Highway before exiting the highway sustained serious damage, with all airbags deployed. 

Photos from the scene show that the vehicle collided with the left concrete barriers before rolling over into the center of the roundabout.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time. 

BC Emergency Health Services told Victoria Buzz several ambulance paramedic crews responded to the scene, including advance care paramedics. 

The driver of the vehicle was transported to hospital in critical condition.

No further details have been released at this time, and Victoria Buzz has reached out to Sidney / North Saanich RCMP for more information.
