West Shore RCMP are seeking dashcam footage or witnesses after a pedestrian allegedly had their foot run over by a vehicle.

The incident occurred around just after 1 p.m. on Friday, November 19th, at the Shell gas station located at Island Highway and Six Mile Road in View Royal.

Officers attended the station after receiving a report about a dispute between a pedestrian and a motorist.

Cst. Alex Berube of the West Shore RCMP said it was alleged that the motorist had driven over the pedestrian’s foot and in return, the pedestrian reacted by kicking the car.

“The gas station was very busy at the time and there was a line of vehicles leading from the pumps across the parking lot, across the sidewalk, and down the outside lane of the Island Hwy,” said Berube.

Officers reviewed video surveillance of the gas station, however, the incident was not captured on video.

West Shore RCMP are asking anyone who may have witnessed this altercation around that time or may have dashcam video to contact them at 250-474-2264.
