In a release Monday, the District of Saanich announced West Saanich Road has now reopened both lanes after damages endured during last week’s storm.
Road erosion caused by the severe storm on November 15th caused the road to be closed in both directions from November 16th to 21st.

As of 9 p.m. on November 21st, both lanes of West Saanich Roads have now been opened.
According to Saanich, the road will operate on single lane alternating traffic from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the foreseeable future as crews continue repairs.
Traffic control will be onsite to assist.
